Zendaya has always had an angelic side.

The actress, 29, wore a heavenly floor-length white gown sourced from French fashion house Matières Fécales to the red carpet at AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City on Tuesday, July 14. The gown featured an asymmetrical strapless neckline, feather-inspired train, and large angel wings. Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach put together the look and shared a clip on Instagram.

The beautiful look reminded fans of an early-career moment for the actress, when she was playing Rocky Blue on Disney Channel’s Shake It Up. In the series’s first season in 2010, an episode showed Rocky dressed in a white angel costume during a modeling gig.

The Challengers actress plays Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom and war, in Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of The Odyssey. Her husband Tom Holland plays Telemachus. Holland, 30, recently confirmed the couple tied the knot.

Zendaya starred on Disney Channel’s Shake It Up alongside Bella Thorne from 2010 to 2013, later headlining K.C. Undercover from 2015 to 2018. She also appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie Frenemies as well as guest-starred on A.N.T. Farm and Good Luck Charlie.

In the past, the actress has been candid about how “grateful” she is for her Disney roots, saying she “learned so much from that experience.”

“It’s just kind of been this slow progression, and I am happy that it’s all been to prove it to myself and not to anybody else, you know?” she said of her career journey during an installment of Variety‘s “Actors on Actors” series. “I embrace it a little bit. It’s part of my heritage, to a degree.”
