Brad Paisley is sharing a glimpse inside Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding invite that made the July 3 celebration feel even more exclusive.

The country singer revealed that he and his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, received their invite with discreet, top-secret instructions, adding to the mystery and magic of the highly anticipated nuptials.

“They were very clear with the invite,” the 53-year-old told the over the weekend, reflecting on the weight of the celebration. “And I took this personally when I got the invite, because in the invite it said, ‘If you’re getting this, you mean a lot to us.’”

“They were like, ‘We can tell you roughly where it’s going to be. We’re not going to say what building, and here’s the date, and if you’re in, we’ll tell you more.’” Paisley recalled. He then turned to his wife and asked if she wanted to attend. “And she said, ‘Absolutely! We got to be there,’” he added.

The “Whiskey Lullaby” hitmaker said yes to the invite, and Paisley admitted that he’s grateful they did. The event took place at NYC’s Madison Square Garden and drew a big celebrity crowd. Yet, he noted, “ironically, it was one of the least pretentious weddings I’ve ever seen or ever will see.”

For those unaware, Brad Paisley and Taylor Swift share a long history that began when her Nashville career was just starting out. Back in 2007, the “Little Moments” singer put 17-year-old Swift on as the opener for his Bonfires & Amplifiers tour. The pop sensation has since credited his support as a major factor in her breakthrough in country music.
