PEOPLE has the exclusive trailer for the four-part finale event, coming to Disney Channel and Disney+ in August.
The trailer begins with a flashback to the final scene of season 2, when Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) finds out Alex Russo (Selena Gomez) is her mother. Billie, then, wakes up in a panic and reveals to Winter (Taylor Cora) that that moment has been replaying in her dreams every night.
āMaybe itās ācause three days ago you unlocked all your powers, opened a rift and the woman you just found was your mom jumped through it. And now no one knows where she is,ā Winter responds. āYou think thatās it?ā
Now, Billie is on a mission to do everything she can to find Alex, even if it means giving up her powers. āIf my powers are putting the people I love in danger, then I shouldnāt have them,ā she says as she splits her magic wand in two.
Confiding in her uncle Justin Russo (David Henrie), Billie tells him she doesnāt want to lose anyone else. Justin hands her a new wand and reassures her, saying, āYou should not be afraid of your powers. Theyāre part of who you are.ā
