Prince Harry’s tension with the Royal Family shows no signs of easing amid fresh speculation that he may be commercializing his late mother Princess Diana’s grave for a personal project. The Duke has been accused of filming at Princess Diana’s private gravesite for a planned documentary that would mark the 30th anniversary of her death, according to Radar.
Insiders have come forward, sharing that recording equipment was allegedly present at the secluded site. The allegation has reignited tensions with Prince William because parts of the memorial site are meant to remain private.
Prince Harry Allegedly Filmed Princess Diana’s Grave For Netflix Documentary
According to an exclusive report from Radar, Prince Harry had taken his two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to Princess Diana’s grave. The burial site is located on a secluded island in the estate’s Round Oval Lake, managed by her brother Charles Spencer.
The site is closed to visitors to give family members privacy during their visits. Insiders close to the estate told the outlet they allegedly saw recording equipment during the visit. One source claimed that there was “clear awareness” that elements of the visit were aimed at a future “Netflix documentary,” unsettling the Royal Family members.
Another insider noted, “This was meant to be a moment of reflection, but there were worries it might be reframed for a wider audience.” Another source familiar with the Duke of Sussex’s plans mentioned, “The intention could well be to include deeply personal material in a documentary tied to the anniversary next year.”
The visit was part of Harry’s much-anticipated U.K. return, ahead of the 2027 Invictus Games and a tightly controlled meeting with his father, King Charles. The allegations that Harry filmed at Princess Diana’s grave have once again fueled tensions with his brother, Prince William.
A Royal insider told the outlet that the Prince of Wales was “particularly troubled” over the connection between the grave and the commercial project. They said, “He feels strongly that certain spaces should remain entirely private, especially given their personal significance.” The report said industry sources believe a project focused on Diana’s legacy is planned ahead of the 30th death anniversary.
