Meghan Markle curated her own outfits for her Australia trip, including vintage earrings from The RealReal

Meghan Markle packed some sustainable jewelry for her recent trip to Australia with Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, shared what inspired her style in Oz in a new interview with The Australian Women's Weekly, published on April 30, and revealed the secondhand accessory that she brought along.

The outlet reported that Meghan does not have a stylist and curates her own outfits, and she identified the vintage find that she sported on the third day of her stay.

"The more 1960s-inspired feeling of the Friends with Frank shift dress (that I paired with sheer black tights and vintage earrings I found on The RealReal) felt fun and playful," she said about her look on April 16.

The RealReal touts itself as "the world's largest resource for authenticated luxury resale," and the Duchess of Sussex wore a statement pair of gold circle earrings she bought from there to Batyr, an Australian youth mental health charity, on April 16. The marketplace operates online and through brick-and-mortar stores.

Meghan and Prince Harry, 41, visited Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney during their trip to Australia, which mixed private, business and philanthropic engagements and marked their first return to the continent since their royal tour of Australia in 2018, when they were working royals. The couple stepped back from their royal roles in the U.K. in 2020 and today live in California with their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.

The Australian Women's Weekly reported that Meghan wore looks from 16 Australian labels during her latest trip, including her outfit for her MasterChef Australia appearance that she said paid homage to her previous TV role on Suits.

"The look that felt modern but also nostalgic for me was what I wore for MasterChef Australia from Matteau and Camilla and Marc, because a button-down shirt and sleek pencil skirt felt very 'Rachel Zane' from my Suits days," she said.

"I was back on set, so I felt sentimental about it — and of course I thought wearing black was a safe choice in case there were any spills!" she added about the atmosphere at the cooking competition, where she's slated to appear as a guest judge on an upcoming episode.

Both of those looks are linked on her OneOff shopping page, a new profile she debuted during the Australia tour, which earns her a commission. The Duchess of Sussex was announced as a participant and investor in the AI-powered fashion discovery platform on April 14, her first day in Australia, and reflected on the power of correct credits for her outfits.

"Fashion is one of the most powerful industries. It influences how we feel and what we project. And even if you don’t say a word, you can convey something in what you wear," she told the outlet. "Over the last several years, I would hear about an incorrect designer getting credit for something I wore, either via affiliate links or press, and that never seemed fair."

"Credit where credit is due. These brands and designers work so hard and take great pride in their work, and I choose them for a reason. Either supporting a friend, being brand loyal, or the reasons I mentioned earlier. So it’s always been important to me that the correct designer is credited," she explained.

PEOPLE explores how Meghan and Prince Harry are rewriting the royal rules in this week's exclusive cover story, where The Telegraph's fashion director, Bethan Holt, put Meghan's new fashion collab into context.

“The royals are influencers, but the mystique is that they are not promoting themselves as such,” Holt says. “Meghan is lifting the veil.”
