Laura Dern revealed on the latest episode of Live with Kelly & Mark that her Oscar award was living with another famous individual's Oscar
She also joked that her award was “safely dating the To Kill a Mockingbird Oscar" and that she'd have to "figure" out how to get it back

Laura Dern’s Oscar is living her own best life!
The Palm Royale star, 58, revealed on Live with Kelly & Mark that the award she won in 2020 for Marriage Story is no longer with her.
“My Oscar is now having an amazing time living with Gregory Peck’s Oscar,” Dern shared in response to a question about which “room” she keeps her award in.
She further elaborated, “It’s being cared for by his daughter Cecilia [Peck] because during the fires, we had to evacuate.”
Host Kelly Ripa noted that it sounded like her Oscar was “living her best life,” to which the actress jokingly replied that her award was “safely dating the To Kill a Mockingbird Oscar.” Gregory, who died in 2003 at the age of 87, notably won the award in 1963 for his performance in the film.

Host Mark Consuelos then asked if the Jurassic Park star was “planning on getting that Oscar back” any time soon. Dern said that she would “have to figure that out,” to which Consuelos said, “You might have to.”
The actress then leaned in further to the joke about the two Oscars dating, saying, “I think they really like each other so I’m confused.” Ripa added, “They’re in a committed relationship with each other.”

“Yes, yes you don’t want to break it up,” Dern joked.
Dern notably won an Oscar for her portrayal of a divorce attorney in Noah Baumbach’s Netflix film. It was her first Oscar win and third nomination.
While accepting the award, she thanked her children — daughter Jaya, son Ellery, and stepchildren Charles “CJ” and Harris — for serving as “the love stories in my life” before going on to recognize her “acting heroes” and parents, Bruce Dern and the late Diane Ladd, who died in November.

“I share this with my acting heroes, my legends, Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern,” Laura went on. “You got game. I love you. Thank you all for this gift.”
The actress also shared during her speech that she won the award on her 53rd birthday, saying, “This is the best birthday present ever. I love you. I love my friends, you lift me up every day.”
