Days after announcing her resignation from the White House Press Secretary post, Karoline Leavitt celebrated her 29th birthday on Monday, Aug. 24. However, her husband Nicholas Riccio’s opulent gift for her might have drawn attention online, especially among anti-MAGA critics.
Speaking about the gift, Leavitt flaunted the gifts in a now-deleted Instagram story, which reportedly became a talking point on the internet. She has also previously been accused of flaunting some of her luxury bags and clothing, which led to heavy criticism on social media.

According to a news report in The Daily Beast, the former White House Press Secretary took to her now-deleted Instagram stories to share two Louis Vuitton gift boxes in the shades of orange, wrapped with black ribbons.
A bouquet of lovely white flowers was also kept beside the Louis Vuitton boxes. Apart from this, the picture also showed three pink cards with the words, “Mom,” “Momma,” and “My Wife” etched on them.
While the contents of the luxury presents were not revealed, one can only assume that they might have been luxury footwear, a bag, an accessory, or a watch, all of which are among the brand’s primary luxury offerings.
Karoline Leavitt’s flaunting of her birthday gift from her husband comes at a time when many members of the MAGA administration have been criticized for flaunting their wealthy lifestyles amid the country’s economic challenges, where many people struggle to afford even basic necessities.
The citizens of the U.S. have reportedly blamed Donald Trump and his administration for the situation, especially after he decided to wage a war against Iran in February 2026.

Apart from her activities in the professional sphere along with the alleged cosmetic surgery rumors, Leavitt has also been trolled for the age gap between her and her husband.
Karoline And Her Husband’s Age Gap Has Repeatedly Come Under Scrutiny
The couple shares a 32-year-old age gap which has often prompted trolling, jokes and parodies on social media. Some social media users have also called Nicholas Riccio his wife’s “grandfather” as a mockery.
Karoline and Nicholas tied the knot in January 2025 after announcing their engagement in December 2023. They welcomed their son Niko in July 2024 and their daughter Viviana was born in May 2026.
The mother of two announced on August 13, 2026, about her decision to quit her role as the White House press secretary to focus on motherhood.
A part of her statement read, “Being a mother and welcoming a new baby while working in one of the most demanding jobs in the world has been the most rewarding yet challenging season of my life, to say the least. The truth is since returning to the White House after the birth of my daughter, I have felt in my heart that I cannot be the best mom my two young children deserve while devoting the constant time, energy and attention required of the White House Press Secretary and that is why I have ultimately made the bittersweet decision to depart the White House and embark on a new chapter in my life.”
