She continued, "Amal is an absolute rock star. I could never conjure up a dream girl like this for George, and to watch him with his kids is so special."
Elsewhere in the interview, Clooney opened up about how becoming a father has impacted his career in Hollywood, explaining that he's become more selective about his movies, considering how long filming can take him away from his family.
"I'm not going to be doing a whole lot of major studio kinds of films. The films that I’m going to be working on for the most part are going to be smaller," Clooney told Variety.
He added, "If I'm going to go off and do something and be away from my kids, there has to be a real creative reason for it. Money isn't an issue for me anymore."
As for his relationship with Ella and Alexander, Clooney recently said that the twins are at a point where there they "still dig" him.
"I got 8-year-olds, and they still dig me, you know? That's gonna change, as you know," he said on the New Heights podcast, admitting that he knew the teenage years were coming soon.
He continued, "I'm telling you, dude, it's like, even at [8 years old], I've got, like, my daughter rolling her eyes now, which is a new thing. Like, I'd say, like, 'Hey, you know, your dad's a big star,' and she just rolls her eyes."
