The upcoming Avengers movie is one of this year's most anticipated blockbusters, as it is the first film featuring the popular Marvel team since 2019's Avengers: Endgame. The upcoming MCU epic will be a giant crossover that breaks the boundaries over even the MCU continuity, as legacy Marvel franchises will also be a part of Doomsday.
This week, a rumor started circulating the internet stating that Jon Bernthal will appear in the upcoming Avengers movie. But his return has not been officially confirmed, but given Bernthal's involvement in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it won't be surprising if Frank Castle appears in Avengers: Doomsday.
Is the Punisher involved in Avengers: Doomsday?
Scooper James Mack revealed on his Patreon that Frank Castle will appear in Doomsday for a very small cameo. The scooper went on to state that he will have a bigger role in Avengers: Secret Wars. Mack suggests that Frank will be one of the characters who remembers the Marvel Universe before the formation of the Battle World, which will probably be established at the end of Doomsday.
As for his role in Doomsday, it seems Frank will be seen in a bar having some drink as the multiverse is collapsing. The rumor suggests that Frank is ready to accept his fate as Sentry flies in and saves everyone. But it should be noted like every other Avengers: Doomsday scoop, the Frank Castle rumor should also be treated as one.

If Jon Bernthal is indeed in the upcoming Avengers movie, it wouldn't be surprising because he was recently involved in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. His inclusion in Brand New Day hints that Marvel is slowly breaking down the walls between the film and TV divisions of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The upcoming Avengers movie will see the superhero team go up against a force of nature as the multiverse and all of existence as they know it fall apart. They have to fight Robert Downey Jr.'s Victor Von Doom, a man who is adept at both science and magic. The trailers and plot leaks have hinted at Doom being a complex villain much like the Infinity Saga's Thanos.
To help our heroes, teams from the pre-MCU Marvel continuities like the X-Men franchise are also involved. Apart from the mutants from the legacy Marvel franchise, rumors continuously circulate that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield could swing for one last time on the big screen with Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars.
