A video was released showing NFL legend Jerry Rice chasing down and confronting a heckler at a charity golf tournament.
During the American Century Championship this past weekend, video shows Rice, 63, lining up a drive while a fan heckles inaudibly. Once Rice strikes the ball, the heckler loudly shouts "Fore," a warning used to alert people in the potential landing zone of the ball.
For a moment, Rice can be seen deciding whether to ignore the comment and finish the hole or chase down the heckler. Rice decides not to let the insult stand, ducks under the boundary marker, and begins running in the direction of the heckler, asking, "Hey. Yo. Hey. Hey."
Fans started following Rice and cheering him on: "Go get 'em, Jerry." As Rice got closer, he asked, "Which one?" to which a spectator responded, "Green and blue." Rice appeared to confront the heckler as spectators cheered, but the videographer wasn't close enough to see or hear the exchange.(RELATED: NBA Legend Says Calling Caitlin Clark 'The Face Of The League' Is 'An Insult')

As Rice walked back, fans cheered and said, "Yeah, Jerry," "We love you," and "We got your back."
This isn't the first time Rice has gone viral during the American Century Championship. In 2024, Rice told a reporter, "I will f**k you up," in response to a question about the Chiefs' wide receivers.
Jerry Rice is widely considered one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history, finishing his career with 22,895 receiving yards—the most in league history. Rice started his career with the San Francisco 49ers, where he won three Super Bowls, before playing four seasons with the then-Oakland Raiders and later retiring after a stint with the Denver Broncos.
The American Century Championship is a celebrity golf tournament. Rice finished 42nd among 90 competitors, with Mardy Fish, a former tennis player, taking home the win with a score of 72. Stephen Curry finished third, according to Daily Club Golf.
