When Savannah Guthrie returns to *Today*, she will be met with plenty of love, according to her colleague Jenna Bush Hager.

Hager was noticeably emotional at the start of *Today with Jenna & Sheinelle* on Thursday, as she and cohost Sheinelle Jones shared how Guthrie had stopped by Studio 1A to give thanks to her colleagues for their support amid the search for her mother, Nancy Guthrie.

"Savannah has come back to her home here at 30 Rock in Studio 1A," Bush Hager said as she choked up. "We got to see her this morning, and in her perfect way, she talked to all of us, hugged every single person in this room, the crew."

"She said that she has the intention to return to the show," Hager continued. "Even though it feels like the hardest thing to do, it's also her home and where she feels so loved. And she is beyond loved here. And so, we're happy that she is home. I don’t know when she's actually returning to the show, but she was here, and that felt so good to get to hug her."

Sheinelle Jones said how she felt pride in Savannah's strength and that her return to the studio can be a "step" forward amid such uncertainty.

"We love you," Jones added. "Everyone loves you. Wnd whenever you are ready, we are here."

Bush Hager also shared a message from Savannah about her faith.

"She said the yellow flowers and the pins, all of your prayers, she feels them. She depends on them," Bush Hager said. "She said, and she’s said this to me before during all of this, but her pastor said, and I think she wouldn’t mind me sharing this, he said, 'You know, God is our last resort,' and she said, 'No, God has always been my first resort.'"

A spokesperson for Today told *PEOPLE* that Savannah "plans to return to the show on air." A return date has not yet been announced. ** reached out to *Today* for comment.

Savannah Guthrie's future at 'Today' revealed after first studio visit since mom's disappearance

Investigators are 'definitely closer' to finding answers about whereabouts of Savannah Guthrie's mom

Nancy, 84, was abducted from her Tuscon, Ariz. home on Feb. 1 and remains missing. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared on Tuesday that "investigators are definitely closer" to finding her.

"We've got a lot of intel, a lot of leads, but now it's time to just go to work," Nanos said on March 3.

Over the past month, law enforcement have crafted a timeline of events. The *Today* host's mother returned home around 9:48 p.m. on Feb. 1 after having dinner with family. Nancy's doorbell camera was disconnected at 1:47 a.m. and her pacemaker disconnected from her personal device about 45 minutes later. Investigators found blood on her porch when responding to the scene. Authorities later shared footage of a masked, armed person attempting to enter Nancy’s property shortly before her pacemaker was disconnected.

Earlier this week, Savannah and her siblings, sister Annie and brother-in-law Tommaso Cioni, marked one month since her mother's disappearance by visiting the shrine of yellow flowers, cards, and messages left outside of Nancy's home.

"We feel the love and prayers from our neighbors, from the Tucson community and from around the country," Savannah wrote on Instagram after the visit. "Please don't stop praying and hoping with us. Bring her home."

Savannah and her siblings have also shared several pleas to their mother's kidnapper, asking for proof of life and that she be let go. The family increased the reward for her return to $1 million on Feb. 24, although Savannah acknowledged that she "may be lost."

"We still believe in a miracle, we still believe that she can come home — hope against hope," Savannah said.
