The mother-son duo most recently attended the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Opening Gala for The David Geffen Galleries together
Heidi Klum is opening up about her recent red carpet dates with her son Henry Samuel.
In a new interview with PEOPLE, the supermodel, 52, reveals the reason she's been bringing Henry on more outings.
"To be honest, because my husband has been traveling so much and I didn't want to go alone," she says. "So Henry has been like, 'I'll come with you, mom.' And I'm like, 'This is fabulous.'"
Klum adds, "I mean, what better date can you have than your own son?"
The Project Runway host also explains that it's "fun" to experience things through the eyes of "someone who is really young and everything is still so exciting."
"Obviously, things are super exciting for me too, but it's different with a 20-year-old when they see things and do things for the first time, like a big red carpet," she reflects. "... So he's always super appreciative that I take him.
Klum adds, "But to be honest, I'm more appreciative that he comes with me, that he's proud to be on my side. And we have a fun night together. We love people watching, we gossip a little bit. It's a real fun night with my son."

Klum is mom to three other children: Leni, 21, Johan, 19, and Lou, 16. She shares her four kids with her ex-husband, Seal. The model married musician Tom Kaulitz in 2019.
In April, Samuel helped his mom through a wardrobe malfunction at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Opening Gala for The David Geffen Galleries.
For the event, Klum wore a black mesh gown that got caught in her heels. While taking pictures with her son outside, the supermodel was seen struggling with her dress, which featured a long train. Samuel immediately came to her rescue and helped Klum unhook her dress from her heels.

In March, the mother-son duo attended the premiere of the Ryan Gosling-led movie Project Hail Mary.
Klum wore an elegant white jumpsuit to the New York City event, with her hair falling in loose waves to her shoulders. Her son Henry, who stood taller than his mom, was dressed in a beige suit with a leopard-print silk top.
