Comedian and returning Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser has admitted that she's "almost annoyed" imagining one particular star's reaction to her potential jokes about them at Sunday's live awards show.
Appearing Thursday for an interview on Kelly Ripa's *Let's Talk Off Camera* podcast, Glaser said that she's considering targeting a specific celebrity during her upcoming second Golden Globes hosting gig, but that she anticipates the star in question might not take too kindly to her jabs.
"Thereās someone that we might come after this year, and I was thinking about what their reaction would be because I donāt think they have a good sense of humor," Glaser told Ripa on the episode (below). "I donāt want to reveal who, and Iām sorry to talk in vague terms, but, picturing this person looking angry about the joke Iām making. I never want to make anyone uncomfortable."

**Glaser didn't reveal who the star is, but said that, "This person I feel like can kind of take it and,Ā not *deserves* it, but Iām almost annoyed that they wouldnāt have a sense of humor about it, as opposed to like, oh, that was mean and I shouldn't have said that."
She added that "this person maybe takes themselves too seriously," and further lamented "the idea that this person could look pissedĀ offĀ at the joke I'm saying."
Still, Glaser said that light anxiety over the star's suspected reaction marks "the first time Iāve felt this, like, 'Thatās even better. Thatās so funny.' So I'm like, we need to write jokes about how this person isnāt going to laugh as a safety net."

Glaser also told Ripa that she has "every kind of plan in place" to adjust for whatever unexpected chaos might occur during the live broadcast, including specific scenarios she's already prepared jokes for, like if her microphone cuts out, if she slips on her dress, if a light falls, or even if her "nipple pops out" on live TV. "I want a line for everything," Glaser revealed.
The comic also said that, in her pursuit of being as inoffensive to stars as possible, she reached out to celebrity couple Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco ahead of last year's Golden Globes ceremony, to see if they were okay with a joke she wanted to tell about them.**
"I got [Benny's] number from someone from someone, and just cold-called him. I said, 'Hey, I have this joke. Totally fine if you donāt want me to do it,' and he was like, 'Let me run it by Selena and Iāll get back to you,'" Glaser remembered. "So, we were all just like, waiting with bated breath, like, oh my gosh, what's she gonna say? And they were both cool, they were like, 'Selena thinks itās funny, I think itās hilarious, do it.'"
