With cut day looming, the Gervon Dexter trade rumors were swirling with landing spots being thrown around. And now? On Sunday, he was dealt to the Atlanta Falcons in a fairly significant deal for both that franchise and the Chicago Bears.

The Falcons get another interior upgrade in Dexter -- the former second-round pick in 2023 with 13.5 sacks to his name -- while the Bears get some help in the secondary. Spoiler alert: This feels like a fairly even deal for both sides.

So who won or lost this deal? What are the details of this one? As usual, let's hand out some grades for both teams:

Bears and Falcons trade details

Bears get: CB Clark Phillips III, 2027 fifth-round pick

Falcons get: DT Gervon Dexter

Is Da'Shawn Hand healthy? For that matter, is Dexter healthy with a hamstring injury in training camp? But this is more about shoring up a defensive front that could use the help, and grabbing a player who could be a long-term solution for the Falcons as they try to build up that side of the ball.

They didn't give up a whole lot to get Dexter, so this is a winning deal. If they sign him to a longer contract and a change of scenery helps him elevate his game? Even better. GRADE: B+

Bears trade grade

It seemed like he wasn't going to stay in Chicago beyond this season, so getting something back for Dexter was the right move. Phillips could be a solution as questions swirl about Kyler Gordon, giving the Bears some depth in the secondary. Not a bad deal to get back a player like Phillips and a Day 3 pick. GRADE: B
