Camila Morrone opened up about her relationship with Al Pacino, who she says is not “technically not my stepfather" but close to it
Pacino dated the actress's mom Lucila Solá for 10 years, from 2008 to 2018, following her split from Camila’s dad, model Maximo Morrone
"How lucky am I to have known him and to have been raised in his presence,” said Camila
Camila Morrone is opening up about her relationship with Al Pacino, who dated her mother, model-actress Lucila Solá, for a decade.
While speaking with The Sunday Times about her latest role in The Night Manager, the actress, 28, opened up how “lucky” she was to know the 85-year-old Godfather star — who was in a relationship with Solá, 49, from 2008 to 2018 following her split from Camila’s dad, model Maximo Morrone — so closely growing up.
In the interview published Saturday, Jan. 10, the Daisy Jones & the Six star described Pacino as “technically not my stepfather,” but said “he was my mom’s partner for a very long time.”
Camila also told The Sunday Times that she and the award-winning actor — who was most recently linked with producer Noor Alfallah, though they have since split — are still close.
"How lucky am I to have known him and to have been raised in his presence,” she said of Pacino. “I mean, he’s the Messi of my industry. I think I’ll always look back on my childhood and be in awe that I was in the presence of someone like him.

The star discussed her unofficial “stepfather” after she was asked about her fame by proxy, and specifically as it relates to her high-profile relationship with ex Leonardo DiCaprio. (The stars were linked from 2017 to 2022.)
“When you’re an actor people will always find things about your personal life,” she told the outlet. “Perhaps with projects that will change, but it’s something that comes with the territory.”
It was something she considered long before her dating life was thrust into the spotlight, Camila said.
“Having grown up in Hollywood, I was around it. I was around celebrities,” she told The Sunday Times. “It’s normal [for people] living in LA to see Brad Pitt at the coffee shop, you know? I knew how ruthless the industry was, and the scrutiny and the spotlight on people in this industry.”

Camila previously revealed that upon landing her first role in a feature film, Pacino was her first call.
Appearing on The Late Late Show in 2018, the actress said, "Of course, the first person I called was my stepdad, who has been an actor for a very long time and is a very established actor.”
And the Serpico star was more than happy to give Camila advice, she said.
During the call, the actress said, “I was like 'Look Al, I never asked you for anything, I don't even know what to do. I have a script, where do I start? How do I act?' And he said 'Come over, we'll have tea, we'll run the script.' "
