Arnold Schwarzenegger and his longtime partner Heather Milligan stepped out for a rare public date night recently.

Schwarzenegger, 79, and Milligan, a physical therapist and business owner whom the Terminator star has been dating since 2013, were photographed outside the popular Malibu, Calif. sushi restaurant Nobu on Tuesday, April 28. Schwarzenegger wore a black blazer over a matching T-shirt and dark jeans while out with Milligan, who wore an all-white ensemble and sunglasses. Milligan and Schwarzenegger were last seen stepping out in public together roughly one year ago, when Hola! published photos of them outside the Santa Monica, Calif. restaurant Giorgio Baldi in April 2025.

Schwarzenegger and Milligan were first linked romantically in 2013, two years after the action star-turned-politician split from his ex-wife Maria Shriver. In September 2023, Schwarzenegger recounted to PEOPLE that he and Milligan met when his surgeon recommended he visit Milligan's practice after he underwent surgery while preparing to film the 2013 movie Escape Plan with Sylvester Stallone.

"I said, 'I got to go do this movie, and I bring a lot of punches and I have fights with Sly and I want to have my act together,' " Schwarzenegger recounted at the time. "And so he says, 'There's only one (person), it's Heather — any athlete, I always send them to her, because she's the only one that really knows what they're talking about.' So I went to her, and then after my therapy was finished, after I was finished with the movie, I called her back and took her out for lunch to say thank you. And then one thing led to the next.”

“We have so many things in common,” Schwarzenegger previously told PEOPLE, while voicing his admiration for Milligan's career. “I think the world of her. I love that she's into working. She's clearly independent. She just is driven as hell.”

Milligan holds a degree in physical therapy and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. According to her biography on her clinic's website, Milligan "currently maintains three highly regarded certifications, placing her in an elite class of physical therapists in the country."

Schwarzenegger most recently appeared on the big screen in the 2019 movie Terminator: Dark Fate and on the small screen in his Netflix series FUBAR. He said during a March panel at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio that he's involved in discussions to reprise his roles from the Predator and Conan the Barbarian franchises, as well as a sequel to his 1985 movie Commando.
