AEW Star’s Absence During His Faction’s Match at All In Explained — Report

MVP was noticeably absent from AEW All In at Wembley Stadium. A new report has provided an explanation for why he missed AEW’s biggest PPV event.
The AEW All In Buy-In saw The Hurt Syndicate teaming up with Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall against Shane Taylor Promotions and The Infantry. However, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin made their way to the ring without their manager, MVP.
Reason for MVP’s AEW All In Absence Revealed
According to Fightful Select, the 52-year-old wrestling veteran missed AEW All In due to visa issues.
The report stated, “MVP wasn’t at AEW All In because the visa process have changed. This was the reason we were given. @FightfulSelect was told that it’s being worked on for the future.”
It’s also worth noting that efforts are being made to resolve this issue moving forward. MVP facing international travel issues is a recurring issue, as he previously missed AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 in London.
The former WWE US Champion has previously discussed the problems he faces during international travel due to his past criminal record. For those who didn’t know, MVP served time in prison before his professional wrestling career. He spent over 8 years in prison, and consequently, his history affects his ability to enter certain countries.

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet in 2025, MVP admitted that his past criminal record has proven to be an issue when attempting to enter certain countries. He specifically addressed the United Kingdom restricting him from entering the country for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025.
He noted that wrestling companies have helped him in the past with international travel and the necessary paperwork. But Fightful did not link his AEW All In absence to his past legal history.
MVP’s absence did not hinder The Hurt Syndicate’s representation, as the tag team defeated STP and the Infantry at All In.
MVP joined AEW in 2024 and reunited with his WWE stablemates, forming The Hurt Syndicate. He has since been the vocal representative of the stable. While MVP is open to making an in-ring return, he has no intention of pursuing a world title run.
Nonetheless, we will have to wait and find out if his AEW All In was linked to his past record.
